- THE CATHOLIC MEDIA NETWORK -
Where others are not, we are there…
to lend a helping hand for the area to grow!

CMN is the brand name of PFCB - The Philippine Federation of Catholic Broadcasters, a radio network owned and operated by different pioneering Catholic broadcast media corporations, tirelessly fulfilling the obligation of the Church to continue the mission of Christ,. proclaiming the Good News to all, using the most powerful means to reach more people through the airwaves, through RADIO!

We began with radio satellite, which is a real powerful thing, snatches of actual broadcast OLD RADIO.
Dedicated and determined to address the needs of its listeners, the PFCB then pursued an even more arduous task in network broadcasting It became a pioneer in Community Based Approach, bringing life to the countryside, with its Broadcasting philosophy rooted in the heart of the community responding to the Basic Christian community Strategy of the Catholic Church

In 1997, embracing its new and dynamic image. The CMN-Catholic Media Network was brought to life.

When we started our radio station, we came together not for profit but service of the Catholic Church to the Poor. Now, after more than FOUR decades CMN is 51 stations strong and is still growing, reaching and helping improve the lives of every Filipino in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

We entertain, we teach, we help the nation building, with commendable workforce combined, bravely broadcasting where there stations are not present CMN reaches the whole archipelago. The core of CMN is now a totality of independent stations that work autonomously yet are interdependent and intertwined with one another.

Unity in diversity, each station develops their own set of programs to address the communities they serve, in alliance with Church groups, concerned government, and non-government agencies. NATIONAL SIMULCAST PROGRAMS are transmitted to the countryside VIA SATELLITE FEED. A broadcasting network committed to Truth in News and Quality Information. CMN is capable of producing programs in all languages and dialects in the Philippines.

Service and Credibility CMN is an active advocate for various NATION BUILDING causes, because of its competitive advantage the CATHOLIC CHURCH. As a network, CMN has been actively participating in election coverage’s, imparting a sense of HOPE echoing the voice of the people ensuring a free, peaceful and just election exercise.

CMN was at the forefront of the preparation for significant Church activities in the country. CMN continuously links and strengthens its partnerships with various formidable organizations and institutions. More importantly, CMN is the Church’s promotional arm not only as an institution but as an advocate of Catholic Values, Teachings, and Traditions through its various activities and programs.

CMN’s main advantage over the other networks is its massive Church structure and partners. Working hand in hand with the Church to achieve a better life for more Filipino, alongside its mission to spread the good news and promote development. CMN realizes that a vibrant media is indispensable.CMN is swiftly revolutionizing adapting to the developments in media technology. Strengthening its convergence.

Now CMN is on satellite broadcast. CMN’s Network Programs now is airing on DREAM SATELLITE connection reaching more homes. Further transformation/ improvement is already happening at CMN.

A virtual radio, CMN Radio’s programs will include religious, social, economic, and socio-cultural content consistent with the thrusts and advocacies of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). Enabling CMN to address the need for a comprehensive Catholic programming that will serve both as an alternative to the conventional commercial broadcast and at the same time providing a medium for Catholic teachings and evangelization.

The tasks-immense and challenges-complex. As a broadcast institution, CMN is more than determined to carry out its ask to contribute in nation building.

As The Catholic Media Network, we heed the call of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, to make media, truly a network of communication, communion and cooperation.Essentially, our broadcast will be about what makes us unique and different, not what makes us the same, that makes us strong and worthy of our name
