CATHOLIC YOUTHS CRUSADE AGAINST THE RH BILL

July 16, 2011, Jaro, Iloilo – Ilonggo Catholic Youths gathered here as part of the celebration of the CBCP Year for the youth through a prayer crusade against the RH Bill.

Several youth composed of students, young professionals, church youth members and faithfuls gathered at the Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral for the said prayer vigil, yesterday.

The activities included a short talk from Rev. Fr. Joel Eslabra, parish priest of Bingawan, video presentations regarding the youth today and their participation in the community, and a series of song numbers reflected on the readings delivered by several youth participants.

The program started at one in the afternoon and concluded with a holy mass at 4 in the afternoon with Jaro Archbishop Angel Lagdameo as main celebrant.

The event was a joined effort by The Archdiocesan Ministry for Youth Affairs and The Carmelite Tertiaries with the Conformity of the Lady of All Nations.

It is part of the 3 days Prayer and Fasting, from July 14-16, 2011, for the special intentions of begging God’s mercy in delivering and sparing our country from degeneration (RH/Divorce bills), disasters (typhoons, floods, earthquakes) and wars (Spratly Islands contention with China).
