| “We
condemn to the highest level the group behind the bombing. Now,
people were afraid and it will take some days before they recover
from the traumatic experience they had” Cotabato Auxiliary
Bishop Jose Colin M. Bagaforo said in a forum organized by CBCP
News and CMN
“They are cowards for pointing
their gun to the civilians and not to their enemies,” he said
referring to the people responsible behind the violence act in the
city.
Residents are slowly recovering from
the traumatic experience they had last Sunday when an improvised
explosive device brought death to five persons and multiple injuries
to some 35 others.
Bagaforo has made an appeal to the government to continue negotiating
with the terrorist group to end such a violent act because innocent
civilians are always the victims. “Peace talks between the
government and the terrorist group should continue. Both parties
should be open for negotiation,” he said.
